Rongshan Lake Scenic Area (Rongshanhu Jingqu) is located in the center Guilin, Guangxi province. It is actually made by two lakes: the Rong Lake and the Shan Lake. The meaning of Rong Lake is Banyan Lake and the Shan Lake is Fir Lake.

Banyan Lake (Rong Hu) and Fir Lake (Shan Hu) are two beautiful lake parks. Banyan Lake is on the west side of Zhongshan Road and is named after the surrounding banyan trees, including an ancient banyan tree (800 years old) on its northern shore.

Fir Lake is to the east, south of Shanhu Bei Road. These two lakes were originally the southern section of the moat that protected the ancient city of Guilin. An ancient south gate to the city is on the northern shore of Banyan Lake.

The Singapore Flyer finally opens to the public this month. This largest giant observation wheel has 28 capsules, each with room for 28 passengers. Each 16-tonne capsule is fully air-conditioned and UV-protected so that you get to enjoy the scenery in comfort. You get to ride to a height of 165m,about equivalent of a 42-storey building on the the Singapore Flyer. The observation wheel spans 150m across and offers visitors some of the best view in the region.

The temple of Heaven has an area of 273 hectares, surrounded by a wall of about 5.5 kilometres long. It was a sacred place used by the emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties to "worship the heaven" and "pray for harvest". It was built in 1420 (the 18th year under the reign of Emperor Yongle of the Ming Dynasty), originally named the temple of Heaven and Earth and subsequently named the Temple of Heaven. The Temple of Heaven was registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1998.

Tian'an-men (literally, Gate of Heavenly Peace) Square is the symbol of the People's Republic of China, which is the central design of the national emblem. In the Yuan Dynasty the main southern gate of the capital Dadu was Lizheng Gate, which was the location of the today's Tian'an-men Gate. Lake Ashi ,or Hakone Lake was created 3,000 years ago by a volcanic eruption; this lake is cruised by boats year round. The lake is known for its views of Mt. Fuji (not in pic due to haze and thick snows) and its numerous hot springs. Several pleasure boats and ferries traverse the lake, providing scenic views for tourists and passengers. Look at the beautiful scenery in the background with hill and trees covered with thick snows.

The Chinese have a saying, "In heaven there is paradise, but on earth Suzhou and Hangzhou." Suzhou is famous for its gardens and canals. The pics were taken at the famous landmark in Suzhou, the Tiger Hill. Atop the hill is China's version of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Hakone is part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, less than 100 kilometers from Tokyo. Famous for hot springs, outdoor activities, natural beauty and the view of nearby Mt. Fuji, Hakone is one of the most popular destinations among Japanese and international tourists looking for a break from Tokyo.

Behind me is the Lake Kawaguchi. It is the most popular of the Fuji Five Lakes in terms of tourists and also serves as a major hub for those wishing to climb Mount Fuji. We had the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in a hot spring (Onsen) located inside the hotel.

Great wall of China-Badaling 八達嶺

One of the New Seven Wonders of the world. Badaling section is one of the 4 places that the Great wall of China is accessible to tourists. It is also the most visited section of the Great Wall of China. In 1987, Badaling become the 'World Cultural Heritage" by the United Nation.
