Mount Sorak is the third highest mountain in the country where you will be taken away by the beauty of its granite peaks snowy valleys and dense forest. It is also home to the Asian black bear.

The Summer Palace or Yiheyuan (頤和園), China

The Summer Palace was first constructed in 1750.The large scale royal garden was completed by the skillful craftsmen all around the country for 15 continuous years and with one seventh of the national annual income. According to recent research, the lake has a history of more than 3,000 years. Pavilions and gardens were built here in the Ming Dynasty. In December 1998, UNESCO included the Summer Palace on its World Heritage List.


The Seventeen-Arch Bridge(far behind, click to enlarge), the longest one across the Kunming Lake which is 8 meters wide, 150 meters long, and consisting of 17 arches.
